Conversation
An invitation to express, understand, and discover new perspectives.
More Than Just a Conversation
Sometimes, what we need most is a space where we can finally express ourselves freely, without having to justify our feelings, explain everything perfectly, or meet anyone else's expectations.
Conversation is an essential part of my approach. But it is not simply about talking about what is happening in your life. It is an opportunity to explore your inner experience, recognize what you are feeling, and look at what you are going through from a different perspective.
How Does This Approach Work?
I use active listening, thoughtful questioning, reflection, and careful attention to the words, emotions, and reactions that emerge during our conversations.
Together, we may explore:
-
Recurring thoughts and beliefs: Ideas or assumptions that repeatedly influence how you perceive situations.
-
Unexpressed emotions: Feelings that may be difficult to recognize or communicate.
-
Personal expectations: The standards you hold for yourself and the expectations you perceive from others.
-
Inner contradictions: Differences between what you feel, what you want, and what you do.
-
Alternative perspectives: Other possible ways of understanding the same experience.
Certain questions may invite you to look beyond your initial answers, recognize familiar patterns, or discover something you had not previously considered.
Why Can Conversation Be So Meaningful?
Putting experiences into words can help us organize our thoughts, gain perspective, and distinguish what actually happened from the meaning we have given it.
Attentive listening and guided reflection can also encourage greater self-awareness and a clearer understanding of our experiences.
However, words do not always capture everything we feel.
That is why, when appropriate, we may incorporate other practices to explore dimensions of your experience that are not easily expressed through language.
How Do I Use Conversation During a Session?
We begin with whatever is present for you.
I listen, ask questions, and we explore together what feels important.
Conversation may be the central focus of an entire session, or it may open the door to meditation, visualization, body awareness, or another form of inner exploration.
The intention is not to tell you what to think, but to accompany you as you discover what makes sense for you.
